NAACP Berkshire Branch

Listen to 10 African American elders living in the Berkshires talk about their lives, their work, and their ideas.  Here is a link to their interviews, which are housed with the Digital Commonwealth.  This was the first collaboration of the Oral History Center, with the NAACP-Berkshire Branch, and now it is a part of a new collaboration with the Digital Commonwealth.

The Berkshire Museum mounted a beautiful exhibit with portraits, taken by Julie McCarthy, and the audio from the interviews.  We provided the materials, including the information and some photos for a walk-through time line of African American heritage.
