If you have been a recipient MA SHRAB Roving Archivist Program services, you are eligible to apply to host an ‘archival field fellow’ and receive $500 of regrant funds for archival supplies. The Field Fellowship Program is an excellent way to get collection’s preserved and processed by a trained archivist.
The Roving Archivist Program welcomes institutional applications for the upcoming Archival Field Fellowship grant. The deadline for institutional applications is October 9, 2026.
See the grant guidelines and application details on the SHRAB website. Preference is given to repositories that have received a Strategic Assessment and Program Review from the Roving Archivist program. The SHRAB will select two repositories to host archival field fellows. If you have applied in previous years and were not selected, the SHRAB encourages you to reapply. Selection is partially determined by the geographic proximity of the Field Fellow which varies each grant year. Please note, an archival field fellowship is only awarded once per institution.
