Paid Position/Internship in the Oral History Center, in person and hybrid
All training is provided.
Digital archive assistant
One of the most important parts of the work of the Oral History Center is safe keeping of the interviews we and our partners conduct.
We have conducted and audio/video recorded interviews with alumni, former faculty, and others from BCC, as well as leaders in regional conservation efforts. The intern will make compressed files (mp4s) of these interviews and upload them to our You Tube channel.
Then, the intern will take those interview files and prepare them for an archive at the University of Massachusetts and /or Boston Public Library (Digital Commonwealth).
This internship is ideal for a student who hopes to work in history, sociology, anthropology, journalism, communications, at museums, in film and media, and in one of many other related fields.
