Mass Memories Road Show for Paper Making story gathering day is set

The Mass Memories Roadshow of the University of Massachusetts, Boston, will bring a team of staff and volunteers to do a story gathering event on the theme of paper making in the Berkshires.  Paper makers, former and present, as well as members of the local communities who had any connection with paper making or with the paper mills will be invited to tell their stories.  The event will be set for late Summer or early Fall, 2021, a time frame dependent upon the situation with COVID-19.

A Planning Team will work here in the region to be sure the community, in the broadest sense, is represented in the storytelling and in the planning of the event, and to set up logistical details.

The Mass. Memories Road Show is a statewide, event-based participatory archiving program that documents people, places, and events in Massachusetts history through photographs and stories.
