Oral history and teaching: incorporate oral history into your work as an educator: April 22, zoom

Using Oral History in your role as educator

Pete Vermilyea has been using oral history with his Housatonic Valley Regional High School history classes for decades.  What started with students interviewing relatives to gain insight into recent events, grew to be an annual Oral History Festival and podcasts.

Most recently they learned to use online platforms to do remote interviews.

Pete will tell us how he does it:

The challenges and the pleasures of introducing oral history to his students.  Join us for this zoom presentation.   There will be plenty of time for questions/discussion.
