1.We started podcasts with Pete Vermilyea’s Housatonic Valley Regional High School history class. For two years, a student intern from HVRHS made a podcast using interview audio collecting during an Oral History Festival Professor Vermilyea organized for his students and alumni/ae.
2.Then we realized podcasts made sense as a way to introduce people to the oral history interviews without requiring them to listen for hours.
3.Now we organize workshops on and off campus. Our podcast instructors include radio pros Reinout Van Wagtendonk and Mark Mills, and audio expert Bob Shepherd, Rebecca Sheir, (see Circle Round), and others.
