Monterey Oral History project interviews online

As you know, we are working with the University of Massachusetts Libraries Special Collections to archive and make available the oral history project interviews that we do in our region.  The   Monterey Library was one of the first organizations the Oral History Center worked with, helping Wendy Germain, project coordinator, by sponsoring an intern (Joe Makuc) to transcribe interviews, write up metadata forms, and upload the interviews into the UMass system.  Then, UMass took if from there, and now several of those interviews are online.

And here (above)  is intern Joe Makuc, working at the CTSB public access television station, in Lee.  Joe started when he was a college student and is now a graduate student of history.
